Daily Thought: Conscious Contemplations On Suicide

Someone I met and briefly engaged with a handful of times in the conscious community here in Cape Town took her own life a few days ago. While I didn't know her well, news of her opting out of life has brought up several things for my consideration. This woman was 32, just a few years younger than me. She climbed the mountain and lept from a cliff to her death. A helicopter was sent to retrieve her body from the slopes of the mountain. My observations of what it has brought up in me are thus: Leaping off of a cliff at a height great enough to kill you takes and enormous amount of braveness. That she would rather summon that amount of courage and do something as scary as jump off of a cliff instead of continue on with life is huge internal process to move through. The darkness must have been strong for her to opt out at all, let alone in such a spectacularly courageous way. I understand and have great compassion for where she must have been with her relati...

Manifestation: Three Mirrors To Use For Shifting Through Life

Photo By: Monique Grobler. Recap We learned some great manifestation lessons in my most recent posts. We established, by looking at modern scientific experiments, that the world is made up of photons of light that reflect and are steered by our emotional state of being. Our emotions steer 'reality' via the electromagnetic qualities of our DNA and heart frequencies, which then influence the world around us. Negative emotions = contracted, low performing DNA, while positive emotions = DNA that is relaxed and thrives. We also discovered we are connected to the field of energy photons make up, that is present in and around all 'matters of being' in this world. Quantum physics has observed this energetic field to have a holographic nature , and has taught us that the outside world is a reflection of our inner state, which the holograph projects as our daily life. Reflection For manifestation, adding this information to our creation toolkit is essential. If th...

Learn to Warp Time (It's really easy actually!)

It's been one of those weeks again where inspiration has left its presence unattended with regards to something to post this week, and where my mind has tried to take control and 'do' something about the massive gap looming in my scheduling posts. Although I have no product to offer you, I have still made a conscious choice to be committed and devoted to paying the wisdom and information forward that I have learnt, and I haven't missed a post in the 6 months I've been doing this channel. It's important to me that I live meaningfully and with purpose. Otherwise, why else am I here? Amongst all the doing in the physical world, I couldn't foresee 'time' to work on my blog past Thursday evening. From Friday morning onward, I had a jampacked calendar, and my last scheduled post was for Sunday morning, with nothing to post for Sunday night, and no 'time' to 'do' it either. I reminded myself to trust that inspiration always ar...

Finding One's Pack: Belonging as Blessing (An Excerpt)

This tale is an exerpt from Clarissa Pinkola Estes's book, Women Who Run With The Wolves. It's one of my favourite tales ever, and one of my favourite books ever. Her story is for anyone, man or woman, who has journeyed through life feeling exiled or alone, different from everyone else, and like you don't fit in anywhere. May you read these words, and may they bring your heart peace. It's a story many of us know from our childhood, but maybe didn't take the time to understand as an adult, unless maybe you've got children of your own by now. I felt compelled to share this with you this week. I highly recommend this book, not only for women, although I feel every girl and woman should have this book next to her bed as a guide for life. I have found it to have sacred properties, in that, whenever I pick the book up (I have been reading it slowly) the place I pick it up from applies to what I am facing in my life at the moment. She unpacks situa...

Turn Your Pain Into Your Power

I read somewhere that the first seven years of our life are the most important, and that the events we experience during those sensitive years create the basis for who we become as adults. What unfolds emotionally for each person during childhood often has happy and painful parts to it, some more of one than the other. Some of the things that happen at such vulnerable ages will be traumatic and will be the breeding grounds for psychological issues as an adult. Other things will be more conducive to becoming well-adjusted adults who have their head screwed on properly. It's up to us, as adults, when we get triggered, to unpack the feelings and thoughts around the long-gone event and process it from a more mature mindset, and understand that sometimes we put things away that are too big for us to understand when we're children. These re-manifest later on when we're adults as disproportionate reactions to certain situations. Often it's stuff that doesn't w...
