Be Yourself: You're Medicine For The World

There seems to be a bit of a misunderstanding about what kind of person you need to be when you're on a path of exploration with life and yourself. I've heard this common misconception projected toward me from a number of people when they say things like; "You don't look spiritual ", or "You're not like the others", or "You don't dress like a spiritual person". What does 's piritual ' look like? First of all, I am not 's piritual '. Rather: I am a spirit. And so are you, and every other being on this planet. We occupy a body for the duration of this lifetime. We are here to have a human experience, equipped with all the emotions and hormonal responses that having a human body brings with it. Still, I am not spiritual . I am merely tuned in to the spark of life that is the energetic force for this fleshy vessel I journey this realm in. Some would call it the soul. I am consciousness, and have awareness of wh...

Learn to Warp Time (It's really easy actually!)

It's been one of those weeks again where inspiration has left its presence unattended with regards to something to post this week, and where my mind has tried to take control and 'do' something about the massive gap looming in my scheduling posts. Although I have no product to offer you, I have still made a conscious choice to be committed and devoted to paying the wisdom and information forward that I have learnt, and I haven't missed a post in the 6 months I've been doing this channel. It's important to me that I live meaningfully and with purpose. Otherwise, why else am I here? Amongst all the doing in the physical world, I couldn't foresee 'time' to work on my blog past Thursday evening. From Friday morning onward, I had a jampacked calendar, and my last scheduled post was for Sunday morning, with nothing to post for Sunday night, and no 'time' to 'do' it either. I reminded myself to trust that inspiration always ar...

Turn Your Pain Into Your Power

I read somewhere that the first seven years of our life are the most important, and that the events we experience during those sensitive years create the basis for who we become as adults. What unfolds emotionally for each person during childhood often has happy and painful parts to it, some more of one than the other. Some of the things that happen at such vulnerable ages will be traumatic and will be the breeding grounds for psychological issues as an adult. Other things will be more conducive to becoming well-adjusted adults who have their head screwed on properly. It's up to us, as adults, when we get triggered, to unpack the feelings and thoughts around the long-gone event and process it from a more mature mindset, and understand that sometimes we put things away that are too big for us to understand when we're children. These re-manifest later on when we're adults as disproportionate reactions to certain situations. Often it's stuff that doesn't w...

Inspirations In The Making

I recently read an article on inspiration as interpreted by Elizabeth Gilbert, and it really put some puzzle pieces together for me. I publish blogs weekly related to an area of life that can't be 'done', but rather 'flowed with'. My content involves subjects of life that are more subtle and abstract in nature. I have set intention to write weekly articles, and although I can be called a 'writer', the information I publish in service of helping others live their best life comes through me, not from me. I have gotten to know what the pull of inspiration feels like and when I need to grab my computer as soon as I get the signals that what wants to be published this week is ready to flow through me, to you . This week, I have really required some trust because I usually have the blogs written a week or two in advance. Whenever I feel inspiration's nudge and 'hear' the words, I begin writing, I listen. But for two weeks now I haven't se...

Let's Get Real!

When working towards living your best life, a big aspect to look at is whether you are living authentically with and toward yourself. What does 'authenticity' mean in context of this post? Well... it's the level and depth of honesty you have with yourself and whether the movements you are making within and externally of yourself reflect how you truly feel. It's being 'real'. Being real with yourself about whether or not you're actually happy with the state of your life, requires you to have the courage to be vulnerable with yourself. Are you walking around in the outside world wearing armour that protects you from being hurt by others, and going around saying you don't need anyone in life, but then in the middle of the night when you're laying awake with yourself, are you yearning to be loved and have deeper more rewarding connections with others? Are you really happy at your job, or are you just in a comfort zone going through the act...

Breaking Down Abundance

With all this talk about manifestation, creating the life you want, and living in abundance, I thought I'd break down what it means to actually live in abundance. Some would think it's having loads of money. While that is one form of abundance, it's not the only form. To me, living in abundance is being able to do what you want and need to do when you want and need to do it. When you find yourself in alignment with life and living in the flow of life, abundance flows in through many avenues. Having the means to go to the store to buy the food you require to feed yourself provides a sense of security and stability, which can give you peace of mind versus living in survival mode all the time wondering where your next meal is going to come from. Yet, while living in flow and living in alignment, even if you don't have the money to buy food yourself, it always works out and somehow, someway, you eat. I've had my fair share of nights starving. I'm sp...

Wayshower Woes

I would like to speak about vulnerability in an upcoming post, but I felt it necessary to first be vulnerable with you and let you know you're not alone in your journey through your shadow, and that creating a better life for yourself requires tough emotional work that all 'wayshowers' also face. It's because we've chosen to face the darkness inside ourselves and move through our shadows that we can show you the way. It's not because we were brought to this earth without darkness and only know how to navigate the light. We know our way through the dark and show you how to find your way through yours. Just because I've decided to pay the knowledge I've acquired forward to help others does not make me immune to pain from now on. I'm a human, just like everyone else, and while I have worked damn hard to rise above much of my earlier suffering and bust through many barriers of my mind that kept me trapped, I do still get tripped up in life on ...

Get Yourself Ready to Receive Your Manifestation

Another important aspect in creating and manifesting the life you want is to open yourself up to receiving it. Time and time again I have noticed myself and others saying no to help and opportunities that are being offered. Pride gets in the way when others offer us help, or we can feel scared to experience new things. Saying no tells life we are not open to receiving. Even if it's something you can do on your own and you don't need the help, saying yes to someone assisting you puts out to life that you are open to getting new things in. If you're wanting to manifest money, being open to allowing even minuscule amounts in tells life you're open to receiving. Sometimes I'll find a 10c coin on the floor and instead of leaving it laying on the ground, I'll pick it up and say “YES! I'm in the vicinity of my manifestation.” Even though it's a small amount, the energy I'm putting out is that I'm open to receiving. Then bigger amounts star...
