Conscious Brand: Healing Earth, Clear Conscience All Round

I'm not going to lie, Healing Earth's Lemon Verbena & Argan Oil collection is more-ish in more ways than one. The scent reminds me of lemon meringue pie, which I love but just don't eat anymore because of the amount of sugar used to make it. I'd bounce off the walls, fully wired on a sugar rush if I had to go there. Instead, I now live vicariously through smelling the things I don't eat anymore. I was thrilled to now have lemon meringue 'on tap' to catch a whiff of whenever I want when in the mood for a little sweetness.

Enough sugar-coating though. If I'm going to do this product review stuff and be in alignment with my own value system of transparency and authenticity, I'm going to cut the bullshit. I'm going to call a spade a spade and not try and oversell you something with frills that just aren't necessary. I've never been one for frills. I'm more likely to strip the products bare and give you the valuable information you care about. And me exploring this path will be no different.

So what's at the top of our priority list when it comes to the products the discerning and conscious consumer invests in?

For me, at the top of the list is 100% natural. Healing Earth's collection does just that, even down to the eco-friendly biodegradeable containers the lotions are made in.

The ingredients for Healing Earth's Lemon Verbena & Argan Oil Hand and Body Lotion ingredients include: aqua (water), glycerine, dehydroacetic (an organic paraben alternative), plant-based cetearyl alcohol, aloe, shea, lauryl glucoside, grape leaf extract, soy protein, jojoba seed oil, baobab seed oil, wheat protein, vegetable glycerine, lemon verbena, grape seed oil, marula seed oil, tea tree oil, and argan oil.

The Room and Linen Mist ingredients printed on the gorgeous frosted glass bottle states: Spring water, Kalahari Rock Salts (distilled), orange peel water, linalool catral (a naturally occurring fragrance substance produced by a wide variety of plants such as mint, cinnamon, citrus fruits, and birch trees), pomelo, lemon verbena, olivem 1000 (a naturally nerived co-emulsifier), argan oil, tocopherol (organic chemical compounds with Vitamin E activity), Helianthus Annuus seed oil, organic preservative: citric acid, and TroyCare LSM  (a natural antimicrobial).

Healing Earth's Bath and Shower Gel's ingredients include: Aqua, glycerin, dehydroacetic acid, argan oil, cyclopia internedia leaf extract, vitis vinifera (grape) leaf extract, mentha piperita (peppermint) oil, simmondsia chinesis (jojoba) seed oil, adansonia digitata (baobab) seed oil, eucalyptus globules leaf oil, vitis vinifera (grape) seed oil, sclerocarya birrea seed oil, citrus aurantium amara, citrus medica limonum, and lemon verbena.

I'm happy with those ingredients, and the products are of spa-quality with properties that include anti-inflammatory, anti-septic, and astringent toning benefits. The scent is wonderfully refreshing and delicious, to be quite frank.

Next on my check list when deciding what brands to invest in is how their value system reflects their contribution to all forms of life. Healing Earth's Lemon Verbena & Argan Oil collection are vegan and natural, as well as earth-, people-, and animal-friendly. Check!

Next on my list is the price point. Not for any other reason other than I refuse to invest my money in products that are really up their own ass when it comes to the price, for what they are. Price extortion is not on my list of values to support any brand with. Healing Earth is wonderfully modest in this department, compared with so many other natural products that have unreasonable prices just because natural and organic are all the rage. The 200ml glass pump-action bottle of Hand and Body lotions retails online at Faithful To Nature for R89, while the Bath and Shower Gel moves at R93.

All-in-all, the self-care products I used felt great going onto my skin. The lotion was not greasy, but rather silky and milky, which I loved. The bath and shower gel had excellent foaming properties for a vegan body wash, and didn't leave my skin feeling tight or dry after, and the room and linen spray... well... I think I've sprayed it around five times since I started writing this review. I'll be eating lemon meringue in my dreams tonight thanks to how delicious my pillows smell!

Healing Earth is a South African brand, with their office in Cape Town. Check out their range (which has become well-loved by five-star travellers guesting at the likes of the Shamwari and Tintswalo Group, Wilderness Safaris, and Beyond Africa, as well as other luxury boutique hotels in Zanzibar and Mauritius) by visiting http://www.healingearth.co.za/products/ for more information.

Schedule A Meet With Me: Personal Guidance And Self Exploration

Meet with me to explore your personal evolution or get personal guidance. Learn to raise your vibration, expand your consciousness, or manifest your desires. Transform and become a conscious creator and choice maker. Shift through your self-limiting beliefs and step into a fuller, more vibrant version of yourself. To book a session with me, email thevibeandshine@gmail.com to find out how much the investment in yourself is and to arrange scheduling. In my experience, a session hardly ever only lasts one hour . It takes time to de-armor and open up with a new person. The inspired shifts only happen once you're comfortable to trust that you're in safe space, and can then relax into the conversation, open up, and share on a deeper level. While it is your choice, I do suggest a two-hour meet. If you're not in my area, talk sessions are held online on Zoom. Please ensure you've signed up and sorted Zoom out on your device before the session. If you're in th...

Manifestation: A Dance Between Our Inner Masculine and Feminine

Diving a bit deeper into manifestation this season, I begin our journey introducing the two creative energies available in each one of us. We look at the individual energies, their characteristics, and how the two coming together, well balanced and matured, can result in our outer world reflecting and manifesting the harmony and abundance of our inner relationship between the two aspects of ourselves. While exploring tantra, I came to learn about them through the labels of ' masculine ' and ' feminine '. While masculine energy represents consciousness (awareness), feminine energy represents 'creation'. While I am calling these two energies masculine energy and feminine energy, you could also have heard of them being referred to as yin and yang, creative and logic, left and right brain, and many other labels used to describe the same concept. The one energy is awareness, action and logic based, while the other is creative and emotion based. As with quan...

Learn to Warp Time (It's really easy actually!)

It's been one of those weeks again where inspiration has left its presence unattended with regards to something to post this week, and where my mind has tried to take control and 'do' something about the massive gap looming in my scheduling posts. Although I have no product to offer you, I have still made a conscious choice to be committed and devoted to paying the wisdom and information forward that I have learnt, and I haven't missed a post in the 6 months I've been doing this channel. It's important to me that I live meaningfully and with purpose. Otherwise, why else am I here? Amongst all the doing in the physical world, I couldn't foresee 'time' to work on my blog past Thursday evening. From Friday morning onward, I had a jampacked calendar, and my last scheduled post was for Sunday morning, with nothing to post for Sunday night, and no 'time' to 'do' it either. I reminded myself to trust that inspiration always ar...
