Manifestation: From Science Fiction To Science Fact

So I'm teaching you about manifestation. That's my jam. But what is manifestation? I guess if I'm going to be teaching you about it, I should probably tell you what it is. Manifestation, in my own words, is a conscious creation process where what we desire to experience is brought into being energetically, by us and for us, through inner alignment with the emotional frequencies that the experiences vibrate with.

This article begins to explain how manifestation is an energetic creation process, and what frequency and vibration has to do with us creating our desired experiences.

Manifestation involves methods of consciousness and deliberateness, as well as transformation and some personal evolution that always comes down to self love at its core, to shift our limiting belief systems and how we perceive the world around us. For the framework of how manifestation works, first I'm laying some solid foundations backed by science, and then I'll move into more detail about the role you play in creating your reality.

Oh, That Woowoo Stuff!
Before I start presenting you with concepts that could be dismissed as 'woowoo', 'weird' or 'invalid' because let's face it... manifestation is mostly a thing in the 'spiritual' community, I'm going to show you where science is supporting our ability to manifest. I'll begin by going back to something I learnt in primary school science class, and then lightly touch on some newer scientific discoveries in more recent times.

Disclaimer: I am working to keep reader attention for the duration of the post, so while I am here to teach and guide you, the information on manifestation is much too vast to go into in detail. I'll cover it all in future posts. If you can't wait for future posts, it is ultimately your responsibility to conduct your own excavations into truth with your own research. I can point you in the right direction, but always hold to mind: Google is your friend.

So... manifestation.

Let's begin with 'E=mc²'.

Einstein's most famous equation. He said: “Concerning matter, we have been all wrong. What we have called matter is energy, whose vibration has been so lowered as to be perceptible to the senses. There is no matter.”

In layman's terms: Everything from the stuff we can see and touch to the spaces in and around us, is energy. Some energy is vibrating at a slower rate, making it 'more' perceivable to our physical senses, while other energy vibrates faster, beyond our perceptible sensory range. Everything is energy. No matter 'what'.

This is important for learning manifestation.

Quantum Physics
Then there's quantum physics. Quantum physics studies the nature and behaviour of energy and matter on an atomic and subatomic level.

Physicists have found that atoms have no 'physical' structure, and that they're made up of energetic vortices, each spinning and vibrating at unique energetic frequencies or signatures, not tangible matter. This includes our human bodies. This means we have no physical structure, and that other physical things have no physical structure. We are made of these atoms of energy vortices and frequencies, which are connected to everything else in life, vibrating at a unique density, making us connected to everything else.

This next part is how our manifestation capacity fits in:

Quantum physics has also discovered that we create our own reality.

“A fundamental conclusion of the new physics also acknowledges that the observer creates the reality. As observers, we are personally involved with the creation of our own reality. Physicists are being forced to admit that the universe is a “mental” construction. Pioneering physicist Sir James Jeans wrote: “The stream of knowledge is heading toward a non-mechanical reality; the universe begins to look more like a great thought than like a great machine. Mind no longer appears to be an accidental intruder into the realm of matter, we ought rather hail it as the creator and governor of the realm of matter.” -- Richard Conn Henry,  Professor of physics and Astronomy at Johns Hopkins University.

Scientists are admitting that the simple process of observing changes the result of an experiment, as well as, that the observer and the observed are not separate. The observer influences the observed. For manifestation, this means we create our respective lives through how we make use of our minds, and that what we see is a direct result of what is going on within us.

The key to the manifestation of our lives is observation or attention.

This is how our observation plays a role in manifestation according to what science has come to discover:

Wave/Particle duality, in the context of creating our reality, is potentially the most significant concept. It's also the contemplative basis of modern thought. “It is the defining characteristic of elementary physical entities, such as electrons, protons, neutrons, atoms, and molecules, which exist in states which evolve like waves when they are not observed, and evolve like particles when observed. When an observation is made, the wave-like state changes abruptly, discontinuously, and unpredictably, in a 'quantum jump'. At a macro level, the process is seemingly ruled by chance alone, and so there is the potential for a true choice being made.”

In terms of manifestation, this means that where we apply our attention and consciously direct our thoughts, the smallest particles on the planet, which make up everything and everyone, respond in a distinctly different manner to when no awareness is brought to them.

This introduces the need for us to begin working with our thoughts more consciously since our thoughts have an effect on everything around us, since everything is made up of these tiny electrons, protons, atoms, and molecules. I will explain how in a later post, but for now, I'll just remind you that we are electro-magnetic beings. Manifestation should all make sense once I get to explaining all the science bits.

After quantum physics, there's also meta physics and noetic science.

Meta Physics
Meta physics is the study of the first principles of things, including abstract concepts such as being, knowing, identity, time, and space. These aspects of life only exist because humans brought attention to them. Without consciousness, or observation of them, they would not have come into being. Regardless, they are all concepts that were constructed by the human mind, that have been introduced upon a collective 'agreed upon' reality. Time is a human manifestation. Monday is only Monday because somebody felt the need to organise days into a cycle. Same with the months and years.

Noetic Science was coined in 1973, after Apollo 14 astronaut Edgar Mitchell came to a profound realisation while out in space that inspired him to begin a scientific study of interconnectedness and consciousness.

The experience led him to conclude that reality is more complex, subtle, and mysterious than conventional science had led him to believe. He believed “a deeper understanding of consciousness (inner space) could lead to a new and expanded understanding of reality in which objective and subjective, outer and inner, are understood as co-equal aspects of the miracle of being. It was this intersection of knowledge systems that led Dr Mitchell to launch the interdisciplinary field of noetic sciences.”

The conclusions to their experiments are mind blowing. Go ahead and Google Institute of Noetic Science (IONS), and then Google Dean Radin, IONS Chief Scientist. He has an extended biography on his website with some impressive credentials and endorsements.

On the opposite end of the spectrum from science, is Buddhism and other contemplative traditions, which also have observed that the observer is responsible for the manifestation of the world around them. The Dalai Lama, shared his perspective on 'reality' saying: “There are no subjects without the objects by which they are defined, there are no objects without subjects to apprehend them, there are no doers without things done. There is no chair without legs, a seat, a back, wood, nails, the floor on which it rests, the walls that define the room it’s in, the people who constructed it, and the individuals who agree to call it a chair and recognize it as something to sit on. Not only is the existence of things and events utterly contingent but, according to this principle, their very identities are thoroughly dependent upon others.”

He continued to say that "according to quantum physics nothing exists objectively, which corresponds to Chittamatrin and Madhyamaka views, particularly Nagarjuna’s contention that things only exist by way of designation.”

It's The Thought That Counts
What he's talking about is our ability for manifestation. The Dalai Lama is saying things only exist if we give them a place to exist. How do we assign them a place to exist? Through choice. How does choice arise? Through thought. Again, our thoughts are linked to manifestation, even by Buddhism.

So... if observation, attention, or awareness is the key to manifestation, we can see how developing a sense of responsibility for our own energy and experiences in life is paramount. You have the choice to become the conscious creator of your reality, versus auto-piloting through life being a victim to your own chaotic circumstances of unconscious creation.

What the manifestation of your life looks like is the difference between using a sniper rifle focused on its target, and a loose canon with no aim or intended destination. One manifestation outcome will be clean while the other manifestation will be a roller coaster ride.

Skills
In the following posts, I will begin to cover how you can become skilled at manifestation and be a conscious creator of your reality using your attention as the source of your creative process. We will cover some subjects involving the different energy types available to us for manifestation, and how you can cultivate and harness your creation potential.

In the meantime, could you do yourself a favor and begin to take stock of the current state of your life, what is and is not working for you. What do you want to change? What do you want it to change to? What does your new reality look like? And more importantly: What does the new version of your reality feel like? 1. My goal is to move into my own place with my son, somewhere with lots of sunlight and a balcony to listen to the birds. My new reality looks like knowing how to manage my mental health issues better. I’m striving to manifest a relationship that will encourage me to continue to grow and learn new ways to understand ourselves and each other so we can have a loving, continuously growing, happy and healthy relationship. Thanks for the read!

    1. Thanks for your comment! Great that you know what you want in your new reality. Have you begun to have a relationship with yourself that encourages you to grow and learn new ways to understand yourself so you can have a loving, ever growing, and healthy relationship with yourself? The outer world is a reflection of our inner state, and so to manifest the scenario you desire, we need to meet it with likeness on the inside. Once we match what we desire internally, the reflection on the outside changes. Regarding mind work... look at doing trauma release work. I find the mind loops and tricks based on the trauma we have experienced in the past. Release the trauma and you will begin to make space for you to observe your thoughts from a more healed perspective. Be gentle with yourself through the process. It's not overnight either. It takes time to release, find new ground, stabilise, and then for the reflection to come through in the external world. The healing journey is ever progressive. We never stop learning. Be well :)

Learn to Warp Time (It's really easy actually!)

It's been one of those weeks again where inspiration has left its presence unattended with regards to something to post this week, and where my mind has tried to take control and 'do' something about the massive gap looming in my scheduling posts. Although I have no product to offer you, I have still made a conscious choice to be committed and devoted to paying the wisdom and information forward that I have learnt, and I haven't missed a post in the 6 months I've been doing this channel. It's important to me that I live meaningfully and with purpose. Otherwise, why else am I here? Amongst all the doing in the physical world, I couldn't foresee 'time' to work on my blog past Thursday evening. From Friday morning onward, I had a jampacked calendar, and my last scheduled post was for Sunday morning, with nothing to post for Sunday night, and no 'time' to 'do' it either. I reminded myself to trust that inspiration always ar

Finding One's Pack: Belonging as Blessing (An Excerpt)

This tale is an exerpt from Clarissa Pinkola Estes's book, Women Who Run With The Wolves. It's one of my favourite tales ever, and one of my favourite books ever. Her story is for anyone, man or woman, who has journeyed through life feeling exiled or alone, different from everyone else, and like you don't fit in anywhere. May you read these words, and may they bring your heart peace. It's a story many of us know from our childhood, but maybe didn't take the time to understand as an adult, unless maybe you've got children of your own by now. I felt compelled to share this with you this week. I highly recommend this book, not only for women, although I feel every girl and woman should have this book next to her bed as a guide for life. I have found it to have sacred properties, in that, whenever I pick the book up (I have been reading it slowly) the place I pick it up from applies to what I am facing in my life at the moment. She unpacks situa
